二次地震災害
定義
地震の揺れ自体ではなく、揺れによって引き起こされる災害。津波、地滑り、液状化、火災、ダム決壊、化学物質の放出などが含まれる。揺れそのものよりも大きな被害をもたらしることが多い。

震央とは、地震の破壊が始まる震源(ハイポセンター)の真上にある地表の地点のことです。通常、緯度と経度の座標として報告されます。最も強い揺れは通常、震央付近で発生しますが、局所的な地盤条件や断層の形状によって最大被害の範囲がずれることがあります。
